I have to agree with everything Angie said in her review. Inner nipple is not durable and not available to purchase without the outer nipple. I put the first set in the dishwasher and most of them split so I ordered more and now, just a few weeks later, most of them have started to split. I just threw 3 more away tonight so I had to place another order. :(
My new order came in and started using two new sets. Used only for a couple of weeks and delicately hand washed and they are still breaking down and splitting. I would not recommend these unless your baby will absolutely not switch back and forth between bottle and breast. My son is old enough now that he has learned the difference but I kept using them because that is what he was used to. Once I've gone through these nipples I will not be purchasing any more.

The Breastflow line of bottles is the best I found for my daughter, who was breastfed the first 6 months and was very picky about her bottles. These are easy to clean and they are easy for her to hold. The only problem I have with them (and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5) is that the inner portion of the nipple seems to tear fairly quickly. I don't know if it's because I put them in the dishwasher and the heat breaks them down, but the reason I've had to buy these is because the ones that came with my original starter set cracked and too much milk was coming out. I wish I could buy the inner part separate from the actual nipple, but I went to the manufacturer's website and it doesn't appear that I can.

We have used these nipples/bottles with my son since he was a week old. He took to them right away, and has never had any problems feeding with the BreastFlow system. They helped immensely to transition between BF and bottle feeding while I was at work. Like many other reviewers have noted, the inner blue nipple does break down and crack over time. We have hand-washed the bottles 95% of the time (occasionally tossing them into the bottle basket in the dishwasher). Ours did seem to last quite a bit longer that way. We were also using about 10 of the bottles--4 of the bigger "step 2", and 6 of the smaller "step 1". It does help to rotate them, so I would buy 2 or 3 of the starter packs of bottles/nipples if I had to start over again.
