Product Review

The First Years Breastflow nipple is perfect for breastfed babies. It is the only bottle nipple that features a nipple-within-nipple structure that stimuates the breastfeeding motions of suction and compression enabling baby to go back and forth between breast and bottle more easily. Breastflow is available as part of The First Years Disposble Bottle System and works with Ziploc Brand Disposable Bottle Liners and other bottle liners.

This bottle was disappointing. It leaks terribly no matter how well I put it together according to the instructions. The formula just drips out the tip when I thought this was supposed to be the ultimate slow flow nipple. My daughter gulps and chokes and we were hoping that this would resolve it or at least slow it down. We were hoping this would help reduce some of the issues she is having with acid reflux as well, but this bottle is poorly constructed and is just made so cheaply I don't see how it could do what it advertises it does. Unless I got just a bad bottle I would not recommend this to others. I am going back to my playtex bottles.

When my son was born we knew we wanted to breastfeed, but we also knew he would need to take a bottle every once-in-a-while...so we set out to find something that was as close to nursing as possible, and we found it with these. The baby has to latch on the bottle the same way he would latch on to me, and the baby has to get the milk to "let down" just like with nursing. My son had no problem switching from breast to bottle like, if my hubby needed to feed him. Another bonus is that these aren't expensive! I am so happy we found these and if we have another baby...we will def. be using these again :)
