Thoughts on Scratchiness,

So, I was hesitant about buying this product after reading some reviews where people complained about the scratchiness. I did a little bit more research at the actual Bebe-au-Lait website before purchasing, and went ahead and ordered the Simple in Steel. After receiving it, I am more than happy with it, although have not actually put it to the test (nursing with it) yet since I haven't had my baby yet. I did not find it at all scratchy However, I think I have figured out at least somewhat why there is some discrepancy regarding the scratchiness. According to Amazon, all of the Simple Organic nursing covers are 100% organic cotton. This is NOT the case. The "Steel" and "Buttercup" colors are in 100% organic cotton. The "Raspberry" and "Peacock" colors, however, are 100% organic LINEN. This may account for some of the differences of opinion. Hope this can help some of you out there!

i almost didn't buy this cause i thought that it would be made poorly from the other review. I dont know what she was expecting. this is fine. its not suppose to make you want to cuddle in it! reminds me of an apron. steel is a nice color too. i will say that it is a thicker fabric than the original version of this.

I am so happy I bought this nursing cover. It makes it so much easier to nurse discretely and keep my baby from becoming distracted by things going on around us. It is very easy for me to take it out of the diaper bag and throw over my head while holding my baby. It took a little practice to figure out exactly how to position it, but once I did, I have absolutely no complaints about it (I find that putting it more toward the side that my daughter is nursing allows me better coverage and a better view of her rather than centering it on my body). Sometimes my daughter prefers to nurse while we are both lying down and this cover works perfectly for that position too. I would highly recommend this to any mother that is nursing her baby.
