Ruffled Edges,

Yes it is soft and absorbent but after one wash and dry the edges ruffled up so badly (I think it was due to shrinking), that I avoid wearing them. They look ridiculous in my bra. You can see all the lumps from the ruffles through my shirt. There is no way to stretch them out and get them to lay flat. My husband suggested ironing, and I laughed in his face. I do NOT have time to go around ironing my reusable breast pads since I have a newborn. But, even if I did have time, I should not have to do such a thing. AND I don't even think ironing would help. The edges shrank for some reason and are smaller than the rest of the pad now, which caused the ruffling. Ironing is not going to make them expand. It's a shame, because if they did lay flat they would be awesome breast pads.

These breast pads are incredibly soft, and they're absorbent. BUT after one or two washes they ripple up and they do not "conform nicely to the breast" I have a lot of different breast pads and these are some of the worst in that aspect. If they were a little smaller they might work, but they pop out of my bra and ripple up (I'm a C, maybe they're too big for me.) They're also so soft that it's hard to get them in without them folding. I can get all my other ones in one handed pretty easy, these I have to keep readjusting and I look down sometimes and it looks lumpy.
I only leak when my milk let's down so I just have to carry these with me and put them in the other cup when I nurse. They'd probably work good in a sports bra and they still don't seem to have that nasty damp feeling as bad as the disposable ones do. I wish they would lay better.
