Product Review

The Basic Nurture III Double Electric Breast Pump by Bailey Medical Engineering comes with everything you need to get started double or single pumping. The Nurture III is a small, quiet, efficient, electric breast pump, with fully adjustable suction and manual cycling so you can imitate your baby's variable nursing patterns. Many women prefer manual cycling because it gives them more control of the pumping process. You can change the cycle time as you are pumping to mimic the way your baby nurses and maximize your pumping efficiency. To create suction and cycle the Nurture III, you cover and uncover a vent on one of the collection bottles with your finger or thumb. It's a very small, easy motion you do on one side, even when you're double pumping. The Nurture III reaches 220 mm Hg (the natural suction level of babies) in 2-3 seconds, allowing you to cycle it 20-30+ times per minute and enabling you to express both breasts in 10-20 minutes. The compact and easily portable Nurture III is durable and reliable enough for many years of frequent use. The pump is UL Listed and plugs into a standard electrical outlet. The bottles, flanges, stands, caps and tubing are BPA-free and DEHP-free. The instruction manual and instructional DVD are easy to understand in both English and Spanish. Includes: Nurture III Pump Motor, a Basic Double Collection Kit, and our instructional DVD (not pictured).

This breast pump is exactly what i was looking for. i tried one other before this that didnt have enough suction and you could not control it. This pump has an amazing amount of suction that YOU control by lifting your finger off of a valve(when you want it to release), then placing it back on when you want the suction to start again conviently located where you need to hold the bottle anyway. i loved being able to control how much suction i was getting. it made pumping go by very quickly. mine came with a year warranty, and i am now using it for my second child. My first child is now 3 and it still works after all that time. the company also has a website that lets you order individual parts if you want to replace them. you could easily give this away to a family member without having to use any of the same parts that your breastmilk touched. you can just give them the motor and to order a whole new set is $35. would recommend to everyone!

I had this pump for one year. this has a feature where you can control your own suction and speed by putting your thumb on and off the breast flange top. I did enjoy controlling the suction. It had good suction but there are a lot of parts to replace. I found it kept getting milk back up in the tubing. I spent a lot of money replacing parts every 6 weeks or so. Other than the milk back up, the pump worked fine.

I bought this pump 10 years ago and am now using it with my 5th child. I pumped at least once a day for several months with each baby, (currently several times a day with this last baby) and the pump has held up perfectly. Parts are easy to order and replace; suction is easy to control; and for me, pumping has been quick and effective. The motor is as good as it was 10 years ago. It has saved us hundreds of dollars in formula, easily replacing its initial cost years ago. Highly recommended.
