I used it when I was nursing, and it really helped relieve back strain from improper sitting. Now it sits under my desk at work, and I rest my feet on it while doing computer work and reading. The slant of the stool helps me sit properly in my seat, and the height from the floor helps my short legs feel less strained. I don't have one of those fancy gliders in the nursery, but I do have a small antique rocking chair that I use for night time nursings and for rocking my baby to sleep. I am petite and the chair is small and I can actually touch the floor just fine, but I find myself constantly crossing and uncrossing my legs to get myself and the baby in a more comfortable position for nursing. This little stool did the trick. Having the top of the stool at a slight angle is absolutely perfect. It not only raises my lap, making positioning easier, but now I have somewhere to rest my feet and to push off of to rock the chair with. It would work wonderfully at nearly any chair or sofa. I'm sure I'll still have some use for it once we're done nursing too... or maybe pass on to another nursing mother.
