Nursing Pads Original Style, Medium

These really are great but they a very big. Make sure to call the company and check the sizes. I actually ended up using them to replace the nasty synthetic neck protectors on my infant car seat. With a little sewing of a couple of snaps they work awesome and are so super soft and natural against my babies skin...

I like these nursing pads. They absorb really well during the day. I have not tried them during the night, I use medela soft shells for the night time and they work really well. I Don't feed my baby as often during the night so I get very full and I don't think any nursing pad would work for the night hours. For the day time though, lanacare works and, although some people have complained of itchiness, I don't have that problem. The only thing is that the pad can sometimes stick to the nipple.

Well - I wasn't sure what to expect, as id never used wool for its wonderful moisture retaining properties :)
I had to return my initial order, as the size medium was humongous - Reordered size small, but even those are pretty big I'm a true 36C/D).

Pros -
* natural/green reusable indefinitely)

Cons -
*visible bunch-up underneath bras even w/ very supportive ones )
* doesnt stay in place move around, even w/ very supportive bra)
* BIGGEST ISSUE: they don't absorb very much moisture : pretty saturated after about 3-5 hours of use where-as the disposables usually can last a full day ... About 8-12 hours )

I suppose they'd work for an individual that doesnt mind changing into a fresh pair sometime throughout the day), but lets face it, the purpose of these is to keep your clothes dry!!
With a new baby, there's already enough to remember!!
