After trying several types of breastmilk storage bags, I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Gerber ones. They are AWESOME. They are easy to open, fill, seal, freeze, and use as a liner. Other bags are flimsy, and you will undoubltly have spills. With the Gerber bags, the zipper seal makes a nice rigid edge to hold the bag when filling. After filling these bags you are able to get all of the air out of the bag and seal it. After I filled the bags, I would lay them flat in the freezer, and when frozen nice and flat, they stood up nicely in our freezer or fridge. I used hundreds of these bags with my first child and I only had one spill, that was mosly in part of my black dog sleeping in the middle of the kitchen at night :)

Hats off to these bags, they are easy to use, durable, and can be used in most disposable bottle systems with no problem.

These bags are the worst. Should have read reviews before I bought them, thought I had a defective batch. Mine tear where the ziplock top is, they separate from the side instead of in the middle, so they are unusable - you then cannot seal them, if this makes sense. One bag after another, if I am not super careful, extremely easily tear. Have not had issues otherwise if I get them opened w/o damaging them. Lanosh are the ones I usually use, they are superior in every way and I think the same price! Don't waste your money or precious milk!!!

I love these bags! I am soooo glad that they make zipper seals now. I love that they stand on their own and they lie flat in the freezer so I can stack them. Other people have problems with these bags due to user error and not using them like they are intended....they work perfectly if you read the directions, don't take off the tabs prior to zipping and storing, and if you don't fill the bag to the brim (follow the directions!)! If you do, then it will leak or break in the freezer because freezing anything makes it expand. That's why there is such a large top space for this bag....don't overfill it (more than the recommended 6oz), and you will not have any problems. It seems that all of the problems listed on these reviews have to do with user error, not product error.

These fit my standard Playtex nursers (not the pretty ones, the regular standard ones with the brown nipples) just fine. These are great bags and I'm just glad they're around now, because they kept me...Read more
