I replace these Medela pump membranes frequently. Over time, they lose efficiency as they become softer. It is therefore important to replace them in order to maximize your milk yield. Saves a lot of time for a few dollars. I am sharing as I know other moms who did not know this.

I find that changing the membranes out often on my pump helps with the suction. One package this size will get you through 6 months of occasional pumping if changing monthly.
