I had to pump for 3 weeks while my premature son was in the NICU at the hospital. I pumped and used the storage bags to freeze my milk and take to the hospital. It is easier than washing the reusable bottles and you can freeze your milk in them. I continued to use them for short term at home pumping also. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Medela CSF Breastmilk Storage Bags - 20 Pack (Baby Product) I have been wanting to make this post for a long time. I wish I could choose "zero" stars. Of the breastmilk bags I have tried over the years (this is my third baby) these have to be the worst ever. 1. They do not fit easily on the "suction cups". I tried to get them on there right for what seemed like hours the first night I had them and finally gave up and just pumped into a bottle and poured into the bags for storage. The twist-ties should thread through little premade holes in the bag to hold onto the pump. I wasted two bags as the twist time tore the hole when I tried to tighten it around the hand piece. When I did finally manage to get it on there "right" as soon as the bag had any weight in it, it shifted and fell off. Not worth the effort it takes to get it on there "perfectly". 2. They leak. When using for storage you are supposed to roll the top down (after squeezing the air out) and secure with the enclosed twist tie. This is easy...Read more 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By M. Rob (LA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Medela CSF Breastmilk Storage Bags - 20 Pack (Baby Product) I love the fact that these bags are a sterile environment to pump into. I had absolutely NO issues pumping into the bags and love saving the extra step it takes to pump into a bottle and then pour into a bag to store. The bags are well made and protect the milk in the freezer too. I have friends who had issues with the bags initially but it was all user probs and not a prob with the bags. I would like it if you could feed right out of the bag though. |
