Product Description
The unique 35 ml colostrum container is designed with healthcare professional and mothers in mind. The curved bottom minimizes loss of colostrum or breastmilk during transfer to a syringe. The smaller size helps keep mothers motivated to pump by setting proper expectations of initial milk production. Compatible with any Medela Breastshield Pumping capacity up to 20 ml / storage up to 35 ml Sterile and ready to use (disposable) Set of 2/Pk.

I never used these to collect colostrum, but because my milk supply has always been low I found these helpful as it was on the decrease. I got 2 from my lactation consultant's office. My now 2 year old weaned just prior to turning 2, but I still collect maybe at best a teaspoon of milk for her a day, and freeze it and thaw it out once I get 4-5oz worth for a special treat. If I have another child, I will definitely keep this in mind as I used a syringe to collect my colostrum the first time prior to giving birth...and if I would've went to term I would've been able to collect much more than I did. ( I started collecting about 6 weeks prior to when I gave birth and got about 2 teaspoons worth, but then again I delivered at 37 weeks so if I went to 40 weeks I would've been able to collect so much more!)

Anyways, I am glad to see these are commercially available now...at the time, they were not commercially available direct to consumer, only lactation consultants could...Read more
