Lansinoh Soothies Gel Pads 2 ea

My second week into breastfeeding, I was in SO MUCH PAIN! Terrible, cry out loud pain. It was almost torture to feed my son. But it was so important to me, so I went and bought everything imaginable to fix it. These were all I needed. If you are planning to breastfeed, BUY THESE! Have them in your house before you even bring home your baby. You'll be glad you did. A few days with these and I was fine.

I bought these after trying lanolin creams and nipple butter to see if I could get better relief for my sore nipples. But something in the pads make the tender spots in the nipples sting upon application, and taking off the pads is also a bit painful too, since the pads stick to the skin like mild tape. For me, wearing Medela soft shells after applying lanolin or nipple butter worked better.
And by the way, the pads can be "cut to size" as per Lansinoh's instructions, but please don't, because then the pads won't stick to your breasts and you've just wasted the box. I tried this.

"safe and reusable relief for up to 3 weeks"--last I checked, 72 hours (what it says on the package) was a heck of a lot shorter than 3 weeks. I guess they mean 3 days. Ameda are good for 6 days, I think.
