Summary: Great Pump! 2010-09-07
Comment: I would definitely recommend this pump for the mother who wants to occasionally pump or need something to travel with. I have been using the Medela Pump in Style since my daughter was born 7 weeks ago for occasional use and I decided to give this one a try. I really hated hooking myself up to the electric pump and never pumped both sides at the same time anyways. This pump is really easy to use and seems to be much more efficient in getting the milk out since you can imitate baby more easier. Plus, I can take this anywhere with a lot more ease than the electric one.

Summary: Used for nursing strike 2010-09-05
Comment: I really like Lansinoh products, so when my daughter decided at 8 months she was going to have none of nursing for about a week, I knew I needed some sort of pump and turned to Lansinoh. It did not disappoint. Now keep in mind this is not an electric pump, so it definitely takes longer. And let-down can be difficult with a manual pump. All things to keep in mind if you are looking at long-term pumping. But for the occassional pump, it really works well.

Summary: AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! 2010-08-18
Comment: I already loved this pump. I've never used an electric, but I am a stay-at-home mom and this is all I need. It comes with replacement parts which I haven't had to use yet and I have been pumping for over 4 months now. Sometimes it hurts to pump (if I pump too often) and I read that it means the flange is too small. I looked everywhere trying to find larger flanges, but couldn't so I decided to e-mail Lansinoh's customer service and ask for a larger flange. They got back to me that day and sent me 2 larger flanges for FREE! I wasn't home when they arrived and for some reason UPS returned to sender so then Lansinoh sent them AGAIN!! Also, enclosed was a sample pack of Lansinoh baby wipes. I was extremely impressed! They are an awesome company and I would have recommended them even before getting my freebies :) For the occasional pumper this pump is great. It is easy to pump, clean, store, and take apart and put together (even my husband can do it ;) Just buy it already.

Summary: Try Without Comfort Seal 2010-08-09
Comment: I didn't like this pump that much, but I reluctantly used it when my electric pump died. Then one day I accidentally used it without the comfort seal piece. Now I love it and don't plan to go back to an electric. I think it may be because I have fairly large nipples. I suggest you try it with and without and see which way works best for you.

Summary: You will always come back to this one 2010-07-30
Comment: As a working mom of a 4 month old that is exclusively breastfed, I feel like I am constantly on the pump & I'll be honest, pumping sucks. Every once in awhile I figure there has to be a better way so I pull out my Lansinoh double electric pump, give it a try, and then put it away again for a couple weeks. The manual Lansinoh is far better imo. It really is SO easy to set up & clean and it's much quieter & more readily portable than the double electric Lansinoh I have. Also, I find the electric pump, even on lower suction settings (which ends up taking forever), really makes my nipples sore.

While I'm certain there's not a pump out there that I'd love (really, who enjoys pumping?), this one gets 5 stars for it's ease of use and portability. On occasion I will pump for a few minutes after I feed my daughter from the same breast to empty (or pump the other breast). This adds to my stash of milk slowly but is far less dreadful than sitting down to pump both breasts (which I still do at work) and this is where the manual pump comes in really handy. There's no way I would pull out and hook up to the electric pump to just pump for a few minutes.

Also, the manual pump is a godsend when you finally sit down to pump and baby starts crying...just put the pump down & tend to baby or walk over with pump in hand if it's something simple like their pacifier fell out of their mouth. :)
