Great Pump Beware of Valve Issue,

This review is from: Hygeia EnJoye EPS (External Power Supply) Breast Pump, Breastpump (Baby Product)
This pump is excellent. I am an exclusive pumper and was renting a hospital grade pump (the Medela Symphony). I decided to buy the Hygeia pump when I was returning to work.
A word of caution: when I first got it, it didn't work. My husband figured out that it was because of the valves. They are a duckbill design and there was too much space between the "bill". Hygeia overnighted me new valves and they have worked perfectly but they did squeak at first.
Overall, this pump is incredibly fast, strong and effective. I would say it works as well as the Symphony, perhaps faster. I built up my supply with the symphony. This pump maintained the same level for a couple of months. Recently, my supply has been decreasing but I don't think it is because of the pump but because I have returned to work and am not around my baby as much.
I actually have the EPS, the one without a battery. I got a great price for it--over $100 less that the LBI. I do not...Read more

Great pump! Safe, quiet and quick,
September 28, 2009 E. Abrams (Philadelphia, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hygeia EnJoye EPS (External Power Supply) Breast Pump, Breastpump (Baby Product)
Before buying this pump, I have used two versions of the Medela pump in style. I really like the EnJoye, and appreciate that it can be safely re-used by another mom. The EnJoye is quieter and quicker than the Pump in Style. I did not bother getting the tote bag version, and just stick it in a canvas bag when I need to take it with me. I have not used the recording feature, since I have no problem letting down (with any pump). The flange and related parts from the personal accessory set work fine, but they are a little messier than Medela versions, which better allow you to get the last drips and drops into the bottle when you have finished pumping. BUT the Medela flange set up fits onto the EnJoye, so I have started using them together--works great!
I highly recommend this pump. The return policy is great. When I ordered mine, they were out of new stock so sent me a refurbished pump to use until my new pump shipped. They were very accommodating and easy to deal...Read more

The BEST and MOST CONVENIENT pump available!!!!,

This review is from: Hygeia EnJoye EPS (External Power Supply) Breast Pump, Breastpump (Baby Product)
In a nutshell, this pump is FANTASTIC! It may seem odd to say, but my
breasts have never felt better! When I first tried it, I was concerned
because I was used to a strong suction from other breastpumps I had used in
the past and I thought that the highest suction seemed a bit weak. I was
totally wrong. I did NOT need the higher suction. It NEVER hurt to use the
Hygeia, unlike other brands that felt "pinchy" in the beginning until I
became accustomed to them. It is so comfortable. I can't remember even one
moment where I complained of discomfort. My favorite aspect of this pump is
the fact that it is battery-charged. You do not need an outlet which is
great for me because I like to pump in different places and don't feel like
I have to mess with moving furniture to find a place to pump--I can watch
TV, work in the kitchen, play with my daughter, etc.) On top of that, the
charge lasts for quite a while. The battery...Read more
