Earth Mama vs Lafes,

This review is from: Earth Mama-Angel Baby Organic Angel Baby Shampoo & Body Wash, 5.3 fl oz (160 ml) (Health and Beauty)
We bought Earth Mama Baby Shampoo and Lafes Organic Baby Shampoo after learning about the Johnson & Johnson fiasco. Up to that point, we were using Aveeno, a J&J brand that had the harmful chemicals in it. J&J committed to remove these chemicals in the next 2 years, but that's not good enough.
Earth Mama:
- makes good foam and is certified organic.
- has a rating of 0 on Skin Deep Database (0-2 rating means no harmful chemicals)
- fragrance is medium-strong (citrus).
- not tear-free.
Lafes:
- makes better foam than Earth Mama's shampoo.
- it's not certified organic, but still has a rating of 0 on Skin Deep Database.
- almost fragrance free
- tear-free formula.
Baby seems to like both. We use Lafes on her hair and Earth Mama on her body, but in the future we will stay with Lafes.

Great price here at Amazon!,

I've used this product for a year - and when I saw that the price was raised (in the retail store where I buy) from $46.00 to $70.00 !! I was apalled. So thank you Amazon! Also, for those who say it's too liquidy...I think you need to get the smaller bottle that dispenses it as a foam - and then use this big bottle for refill only. It works great when dispensed as foam.

Smells good, leaves no residue,

I first got this as a gift, and I liked it so much that I've continued to use it. It doesn't leave a filmy residue on my daughter's skin and it smells good (like a citrus fruit!). The only downside is that it is NOT a "no-tears" formula which means that there is no anesthetizing ingredient in it. I have to be extra careful when I'm rinsing her hair so that the water doesn't run down her face and into her eyes. I also do not use it on her cheeks and forehead... for that I use the original Jergens bar soap which is about as mild as you can get as far as soaps go.
Also, just a comment... the body wash was delivered to my house on a cold day, and it had turned a muddy opaque color. At first I thought it was defective, but after letting it return to room temperature, it went back to normal.
