Simplisse Breast Shells, 2 Pack

I bought these for my sore nipples and they seemed to help a lot--the open area allows air to circulate around the nipple so you can "air out" the nipple while staying covered up. So that's nice. However, if you produce a lot of milk, the cups will fill up quickly and when you bend over, you'll leak.This makes it difficult to wear them all day long. I wish they were a bit bigger but it's a small price to pay for the comfort they provide. The silicone/plastic back is very comfortable against the skin and is great at staying in place. Overall, a good purchase and I'm glad I have them; my nipples are still sore sometimes (after months of breastfeeding).

My nursing bra size is DD, so perhaps it's because I'm on the well-endowed side, but these just don't fit me well. They create a bit of a mushroom-cap look under a camisole, plus they STICK to my skin! After wearing them for a few minutes they have to be peeled off. It's not painful, but not very comfortable, either. On the plus side, they do a decent job of catching leaking milk, but be careful not to lean forward (leaking when bending forward is unavoidable, because of the vent holes). Even with all of these issues, my sore nipples DO feel better after wearing these around the house for a while during the day. I just wouldn't wear these in public, sleep in them, or wear them for too long at once.

These were great the first few weeks of breastfeeding when I was dealing with major cracks and soreness. They gave me a break without having to walk around at home topless all the time. Though I don't use them anymore (no need), I definitely recommend them because they were really worth it for the time I did use them.
