I just received this item a week or two ago and I washed it for the first time yesterday to prepare for our baby. I washed it as directed, and the piping along the edge came unraveled in three different places, exposing the cord inside. When I received the package, the cardboard looked like it had been opened before, but the shipping package was fine so I didn't suspect anything. I don't know if that is related, but I am really dissappointed in the quality of this cover, especially being over $25!!! :(
