Ameda Reusable Contoured Breast Pad

While I usually have only good things to say about Ameda products, this is an exception. The packaging for these breast pads says that they hold up well in the wash and retain their shape. This is not correct! I washed these pads in Dreft detergent (which is very mild), in cold water, and on the delicate cycle. I laid them flat to dry. They were bulky and not soft after this washing. After they were completely dry I tried to fluff them a bit in the dryer to help me mold them back into their original shape but I was unsuccessful and they were still a rumpled mess. They are not discreet as described, actually they are very bulky and I am unable to wear them under any clothing except pajamas because they show. Overall, I only gave them 2 stars because they are thick enough to prevent leaks. However, since they can't be worn out of the house without causing embarassment, they are not practical and too expensive for night-time wear only.
