Borrowed a Medela machine pump from hubby's co worker. The pumping hurt my nipples every time it first started. One day I saw the Ameda pumping machine in a baby magazine and saw good reviews from Amazon.com so I decided to give it a try. First try, WOW! it was very comfortable and I couldn't wait to tell my husband how much I like it already! No regret buying this machine at all.

Compared with Medela:

First it costs much less than a Medela machine.
Medela machine itself is much heavier.
I have problem with spilling the milk out from the bottle because the flange on the top of the bottle is heavy and the tubes are made of hard plastics.
You dont have much control on the speed and suction.
The moist builds up inside the tube and it is disgusting!
Milk leaks out from flanges.

Ameda:
The machine is lighter and it has 2 bottle holders. I can easily carry the machine and the bottles with only 1 hand.

I love this breast pump! After having a difficult time getting my baby to latch on I started using this pump to relieve engorgement. Now I pump daily to provide my baby with bottled breast milk. The pump is easy to use, easy to move, easy to clean, and easy on my sore breasts. I recommend it to anyone needing to pump daily.

This charger worked fine for pumping in the car and on the road. I didn't think it offered less suction at all than when pumping from home. Just what I needed to keep going down the road on long trips!
