If you start experiencing any problems with your pump there's a good chance you need to switch out these valves - Amazon offers them for a great price with free shipping (if you spend the minimum amount) so you can't go wrong! You'll definitely want to have extras of these on hand because every time I put a new pair on my pump starts working a lot better!! When in doubt change out the valves! : but don't forget to boil them when you get them so they're ready to go when you need them!)

I purchased 4 packages of these as it makes a huge difference on how your pump works. The ones I received were in original packaging however they were in worse shape than the used ones I had. I was able to use only 2 out of the 8 I bought. Waste of your time and money.

I am an exclusive pumper and have pumped for 7 months with the ameda. I went through about 12 packs of these, they get worn really fast. (and i don't put anything in them when i clean them ). I like the ameda pump a lot, but I wish they were more durable.
